Hobsons Bay City Council

In 2021, Grace GIS developed a suite of high-precision contour datasets (1 m, 0.25 m, and 0.1 m intervals) derived from Hobsons Bay City Council’s 2018 LiDAR elevation data. This work delivered a detailed and reliable topographic foundation for a wide range of planning, engineering, and environmental applications.
Using rigorous LiDAR processing and elevation modelling techniques, we generated contour layers that accurately represent fine-scale terrain variation across the municipality. These datasets significantly enhance the Council’s ability to undertake flood assessments, drainage analysis, urban design, and landscape planning with greater precision.
The resulting multi-resolution contour products provide a flexible and scientifically robust spatial resource, enabling Hobsons Bay to support both strategic planning and operational decision-making with confidence.
