Infrastructure Cost Estimation

In 2018, Grace GIS supported the Hughenden Irrigation Project Corporation (HIPCo) by contributing high-level infrastructure cost estimation to the Flinders River Irrigation Project (Stage 2). Drawing on past engineering studies, historical construction data, and regional infrastructure benchmarks, we reviewed previous reports to develop general cost estimates for proposed dam construction.

These indicative estimates provided HIPCo with an early financial perspective to guide feasibility assessments, compare storage options, and understand the scale of investment required for large water infrastructure. This work helped frame the economic considerations essential for progressing the project toward more detailed design and planning stages.
